Hi, I’m Michelle, a blogger who hasn’t posted for 4+ months. The proverbial cobbler whose children have no shoes…
If you’re one of the three people who actually read this blog, you know I love telling other people’s stories. I’m grateful to earn a livelihood doing just that. Earlier this year, I landed a great gig that lets me create with a sense of purpose.
With that as the caveat for my blogging randomness, I’m not done exploring the wild blue yonder and venturing outside my comfort zone. So at the recommendation / urging of an awesome friend I recently embraced discomfort and agreed to chat with Charlie Gilkey on his podcast, The Creative Giant Show. Eeek!
Three things I learned hearing a replay of my chat with Charlie:
- I say “um,” “uh” and “youknow” too much. (So much for securing those highly paid speaking engagements.)
- I prefer being on Charlie’s side of the mic, asking questions and listening to others tell their story. (With the exception of politicians and Kardashians.)
- Charlie is a smart, insightful guy with an interesting story of his own. (Check out his business, Productive Flourishing, and his podcast.)
In the spirit of honoring my discomfort as a vehicle for growth, I’m sharing the audio below. If you’re set on pursuing a purposeful livelihood, I hope you find some meaningful nuggets between the ums and uhs and youknows… ❤️
